As a housekeeper, your main responsibility is to make sure that all assigned areas of the home are clean, sanitary, and neat. This includes any indoor household cleaning and organizing tasks assigned by your employer.
Apart from ensuring that living spaces are comfortable and properly taken care of, other typical duties and responsibilities also include dusting, doing laundry, vacuuming, mopping and waxing floors, washing windows as scheduled, and iron and press clothing and linen. As an estate housekeeper, you may also be tasked to do some cooking or food preparation, as well as check and purchase groceries and household supplies to keep them at adequate levels.
In some cases, you may also be asked by your employer to monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements and maintain a record of related expenditures.
